A 25-year-old man is in hospital and roads are closed after a serious crash in the southeast.
At 3:40 this morning a light duty truck rolled and slammed into an electrical box at Deerfoot Trail and Douglasdale Boulevard.
Emergency crews quickly worked to extricate the man from his vehicle and take him to hospital. He is now in critical condition.
The off-ramp onto northbound Deerfoot Trail will be closed for a few hours during this morning's rush.
The crash also impacted a power transformer that has affected service in the area, and Enmax crews are working to restore power.
Police say alcohol and speed were a factor in the crash.
