Police have now charged two men with murder in connection to a fatal stabbing at a house party in the community of Braeside on the weekend.

Police were called to a home in the 11400 block of Braniff Green S.W. at about 12:10 a.m. Saturday for reports of a disturbance and found two teenage males suffering from stab wounds when they arrived.

One of the teens was pronounced dead upon arrival at hospital and the second victim was treated for his injuries.

The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Juliano Crawford-Vieira. and an autopsy has determined he was stabbed to death.

Roland Smith, 18, was arrested without incident on Saturday and is charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

Police arrested a second man on Sunday evening and charged him on Monday afternoon.

Trent Guy Hynne, 19, of Calgary, is charged with one count each of second-degree murder and attempted murder.

"We were able to interview a number of witnesses, just after the incident, and we transported 63 witnesses from the party to Westwinds building, where interviews were conducted. In addition to that, we've interviewed approximately 17 more witnesses. They have been cooperative with the investigation and provided information which has led to, or assisted us in identifying the people responsible and laying the charges," said S/Sgt. Doug Andrus of the CPS Homicide Unit.
