A wind warning for the communities of Okotoks, High River and Claresholm has ended

Environment Canada issued the warning at 5:23 a.m. Thursday, saying strong winds will develop in the morning and that could cause damage to property in areas south of High River along Highway 2.

Despite the fact the warning has ended, the weather agency says wind will remain gusty overnight and is not expected to dissipate until after midnight.

Residents are reminded to be on the lookout for loose objects that could be tossed about by the high winds and motorists are advised to be prepared to adjust to changing road conditions.
