Police are looking for a pickup truck that they say rammed into the entrance of a jewelry store in southwest Calgary several times early Friday morning.

Officers were called to the scene on Sirocco Drive S.W. before 5 a.m. to find the entrance of Gold Craft Jewelry Store smashed.

They believe that the heist was performed by at least two people who managed to get away with something from the store, but they haven’t determined what exactly is missing.

"The vehicle reversed into the front doors where one of the occupants was seen going into the jewelry store, grab an armful of product and immediately hopped back into the truck with the vehicle fleeing northbound on Sirocco Drive," says Staff Sergent Ken Poley with the Calgary Police Service.

Fire crews had to be called in to help shore up the entrance that was damaged in the incident.

Police are now looking for a dark coloured truck with orange lights along the top.

They believe the vehicle would have significant damage from the incident.

Police are reviewing the store's surveillance video in the hopes of identifying the suspects.
