Two unidentified thieves removed roughly $20,000 in Indian Motorcycle merchandise from a northeast business during a Monday evening break-in.

The intruders arrived Monday night at Cycle Works in the 4100 block of 6 Street N.E. at around 7:00 p.m. while the store was closed. The pair used tools to gain access to the shop where they targeted leather jackets, t-shirts and caps. The shop's surveillance cameras captured the incident.

“The product is very unique,” explained Vince Aiello, Cycle Works general manager. “We’re the only dealer in southern Alberta selling it so it comes from this store.”

“If it shows up on Kijiji or out the back of a truck we know that that product probably came from this robbery.”

The store had stockpiled Indian Motorcycle gear in preparation for Cycle Works upcoming grand opening.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service, 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers.
