Officials with the Calgary Police Service confirm Dwayne Shane Soroka, the man wanted in connection to several donation box robberies has been arrested and charged.

On Wednesday, the 31-year-old was arrested without incident by RCMP members in Lloydminster, Alberta.  The arrest followed several Crime Stopper tips identifying Soroka as the suspect in surveillance camera images and witness accounts.

An arrest warrant was issued for Soroka on November 10.

Soroka faces eight counts of theft under $5,000 but police continue to investigate the possibility the accused was involved in other donation box robberies. According to police, there were 18 reported incidences of poppy box thefts in November.
