A cell phone was at the centre of a lot of confusion at the Calgary Jewish Community Centre Friday morning.
The Calgary police tactical team was called in when somebody reported a suspicious package.
A perimeter was set up, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
The package was a cell phone waiting to be picked up to be repaired.
"We thank the Calgary Police Service for their quick response and for their professionalism in this situation," said Adam Singer, president of Calgary Jewish Community Council.
"While we are ever vigilant when it comes to the safety and security of our community institutions, we are grateful that in this case there was no cause for concern."
