A Calgarian faces charges related to drug trafficking following the search of a truck during a check stop on the Tsuut’ina Nation.

On Monday, members of the Tsuut’ina Police stopped a Chevrolet Silverado. Officers searched the vehicle and seized a significant amount of marijuana and THC products including:

  • 1.3 kg of marijuana
  • 27 THC syringes
  • 204 THC candies in Lego figure form

In addition to the drugs, officers seized five cellular phones and 14 shatter packages.

In connection with the search, 39-year-old Derrick Fullerton of Calgary was arrested and subsequently charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. In addition to the charge, Fullerton has been banned from accessing the Tsuut’ina Nation by band leaders.
