Calgary police are looking into the smash and grab of a stand-alone ATM machine that left a big hole in the front of a southwest gas kiosk.

The machine was ripped out of a Husky Sprint station on Richmond Road S.W. at about 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Police say parts of the machine were recovered a short distance away.

There is no word on whether there was any cash in the machine.

Investigators will be taking a look at surveillance footage in the area.
