Police have now charged three men in connection with the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in southeast Calgary last year.

On May 14, the teenager was spending time with three male friends at a southeast home when she was led into a room inside the home, where she was sexually assaulted by all three men.

The victim came forward about the assaults in August 2014.

Detectives were then able to identify and arrest the three suspects last week.

Police say charges of sexual assault, sexual interference with a child under 16, and invitation to sexual touching have been laid against:

  • Abas Ahmed Ibrahim, also known as Maxboy or Moe, 22
  • Omar Kromah, also known as Nef, 21
  • Zakariya Mohamed Abdow, also known as Slickthug or Slimthug, 24

All three are residents of Calgary.

Police ask anyone with information about this incident or who may have had contact with the accused to contact them.

Anyone who had sexual contact with any of the suspects is also urged to contact a doctor to seek testing for STDs.
