Innisfail RCMP have arrested and charged two men from central Alberta after a significant amount of drugs, weapons, and drug trafficking paraphernalia were discovered during the search of a vehicle early Sunday morning.
Shortly after midnight on the morning of January 26, RCMP members launched an investigation into a suspected stolen vehicle in the town of Innisfail, located approximately 100 kilometres north of Calgary.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and the vehicle’s occupants, and seized:
- A loaded sawed-off shotgun
- A shotgun
- A police baton
- A knife
- Ammunition
- An undisclosed amount of cash
- A digital scale
- An undisclosed amount of methamphetamine (Crystal Meth)
- An undisclosed amount of heroin
- An undisclosed amount of cocaine
- An undisclosed amount of oxycodone
In connection to the investigation, 20-year-old Stephen Feaver and 41-year-old Brian Palomaki face a number of charges including:
- Possession of a stolen vehicle
- Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a loaded prohibited weapon
Feaver faces additional charges of:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of proceeds of crime
Feaver and Palomaki remain in police custody and are scheduled to appear in Provincial Court.
