Two men have been shot in southwest Calgary and city police are investigating.

The overnight shooting happened near the Westside Rec Centre.

Seventeen shell casings littered the intersection of 69th Street and 17th Avenue Southwest.

Police aren't saying too much at this point, but do confirm that two men were hurt, one seriously.

It appears that the two injured men drove themselves to the Rockyview Hospital.

Police have towed one vehicles from the hospital.  Witnesses say the vehicle had bullet holes in it.

Witnesses also say it looks like at least two different guns were involved based on the different shell casings left behind.

One of the victims is known to the organized crime unit, but police stop short of calling this a gang shooting.
