Two women are recovering from injuries they sustained when they were hit by a vehicle in northwest Calgary on Monday night.
At about 7:40 p.m., the pair was in the crosswalk at 11A Street and Kensington Road N.W. when they were hit by an SUV.
One of the women suffered a broken pelvis while the other received non-life-threatening head injuries.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene of the crash.
They are in serious but stable condition in the hospital.
The Calgary Police Traffic Unit had to shut down Kensington Road for several hours following the crash to investigate.
There is no word on charges against the driver.
