Hot air balloons are filling the skies above High River as competitors from across the country vie for the national title and the chance to represent Canada at the Worlds in Brazil next year.
The Canadian Hot Air Balloon Championship got underway on Wednesday and runs through until September 29, 2013
The town is hosting this year’s event and two balloon flights are launched each day.
Pilots are also competing for a chance to attend the World Hot Air Balloon Championship in Sao Carlos, Brazil in 2014.
