Before her father was diagnosed, Theresa Acchione would've never put the two words, brain and tumour, together. She lost her father in 2000 to a cancerous brain tumour and since 2002, Theresa has been giving back to an organization that she says gave her and her family compassionate support.
"It's a charity that is close to my heart. I know it helped me and my family so I'm here to support others," says Theresa.

Do you have any nick names: T Rex or T Bird
Describe your first experience with volunteerism: Back in elementary school, we used to pick a charity and raise money for it. We went door to door to do that and hoped not to have someone shut the door on our faces.
What do you love most about Calgary: Shockingly the weather. I come from a snow belt in Ontario so when the snow here melts with a Chinook it's awesome.
Have you met anyone famous before: Ray Liotta. I was at a basketball game and I saw him on the Jumbotron. I stalked him down, told him he was amazing and he gave me this "you're crazy" look and I walked away. I didn't even get an autograph.
What did you have for breakfast this morning: Vector cereal
Who is your idol: Oprah Winfrey, I know it sounds cheesy but I think she does a lot of good.
What is your favourite reading material: Please don't judge me but I love reading the tabloid magazines.
