Are you sure you’re ready for this Jelly, Toronto?
Popular Calgary doughnut deli, Jelly Modern Doughnuts is expanding to the Big Smoke in April.
The shop says an appearance on the Food Network has driven demand for the delectable pastries.
“It seems Toronto is excited,” says Executive Pastry Chef Grayson Sherman. “We've been doing a lot of testing the waters….spending a lot of time there doing demonstrations and dippings at different retail locations and questioning people about which neighbourhood we should be in. The answer is always my neighbourhood.”
Chef Grayson says the maple bacon is the big seller here and he figures it won't be any different out east.
Toronto is not the company's last stop. They're looking at expanding out west to Vancouver sometime in the future.
