A woman has been killed and a man sent to hospital after a serious crash on Highway 2 south of Calgary.
High River RCMP was called to the scene six kilometres south of High River at 11:55 p.m.
Police say a northbound SUV crashed head-on with a southbound car.
The female driver of the car was confirmed dead at the scene while the 32-year-old male driver of the SUV was taken to Calgary hospital by STARS Air Ambulance.
Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane and southbound traffic was being detoured past the incident while police investigated.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
