A motorcycle crash on a highway south of Calgary has claimed the life of a woman and sent a man to hospital in life threatening condition.
EMS crews were called to the scene of a fatal crash on Highway 22, south of Highway 540, on Tuesday morning at about 9:00 a.m.
Crews found a damaged motorcycle and two riders at the scene.
An 18-year-old woman was pronounced dead by paramedics and a 60-year-old man was airlifted by STARS to Foothills Hospital in Calgary in serious condition.
EMS officials say no others vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported.
There is no word yet on the identities of the two riders.
