The remains of a woman have been found in the wreckage of a burned-out home on the Tsuu T'ina Nation.

The Tsuu T'ina Fire Department responded to a house fire on Thursday morning and found the home engulfed in flames when they arrived.

Five people were inside the home at the time of the fire.

One man was taken to Foothills Hospital and three others were taken to the Rockyview Hospital in Calgary.

One woman was unaccounted for and her remains were later discovered in the ashes.

The woman has not yet been identified and her family is receiving support from the nation.

The Provincial Fire Commissioner will oversee the investigation into the cause of the fire.
