A Calgary man has died in an apparent drowning in Lake Newell, just south of Brooks.
The man’s body was found floating in the lake by a local boater Friday evening.
A kayak was also found floating nearby.
RCMP say the man was wearing a life jacket, but it wasn't done up properly.
Police will not release the man’s name until next of kin are notified, but so far they’re not having much luck finding relatives.
The man, believed to be in his mid-30’s lived alone in Calgary.
