Calgary police confirm a man who hadn't been heard from since the start of the year has been located safe.

Police say Randy Sisson, 43, was last seen New Year's Day and was reported missing Jan. 29.

"It is not uncommon for Randy to go extended periods of time without communicating with his family, however his family and police have been unable to locate him," said police in a Jan. 31 news release, where investigators indicated Sisson was likely wearing a Calgary Flames hat and/or jersey.

Details regarding Sisson's disappearance were not disclosed when police confirmed Monday afternoon he'd been found.
