Police in Canmore say a man was killed on Friday evening in a freak accident that took place while he was doing some maintenance on a vehicle.
Officials say that at about 4:45 p.m., emergency crews were called to a home in the 1200 block of 2 Avenue in Canmore.
When they arrived, they found a 48-year-old man pinned between two vehicles in the alleyway.
He was taken to Canmore Hospital but later died of his injuries.
Police say the man was working on a vehicle in a nearby garage when it somehow rolled forwards and pinned him against a parked vehicle.
The victim has been identified and his family notified, but his identity is being withheld.
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
