The man charged with murder in connection with a triple slaying New Year's Day is no stranger to police.

Real Christian Honorio, 25, was arrested Monday and charged with three counts of first-degree murder.

He is accused of killing Sanjeev Mann, a known gang member, Aaron Bendle, who police say was an associate of Mann, and Keni Su'a, an innocent bystander.

Mann was a member of the city's FK gang.

The three men were shot and killed at the Bolsa Restaurant on Macleod Trail South.

Police say they consider Honorio a gang member but also point out that he has never been convicted as one by the courts.

Sources tell CTV News that he is not considered to be established in his dealings with Calgary's gangs.

The 25-year-old is also one of five people charged with over one hundred offences in connection with a gang bust in the community of Heritage Pointe December 22, 2008.

Police seized drugs and weapons including an assault rifle and four homemade bombs.

The home also had a sophisticated video surveillance system installed.

Honorio was arrested and released on bail December 29, three days before the shooting.

He will be back in court June 11.

Police say they are still looking for two other people wanted in connection with the killings.
