Calgary police are turning to the public in an attempt to identify the suspect in a recent groping in the city’s southeast.

The attack occurred in the early hours of Friday, November 16, in the 6600 block of 4 Ave. S.E.

The female victim was walking along the street at approximately 2:00 a.m. when she was approached by a man who attempted to strike up a conversation. 

The man grabbed the woman in a bear hug and fondled her.  She was able to escape from his clutches and ran away unharmed.

Police believe the attack to be isolated and not connected to other recent gropings.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • Approximately 180 cm tall (5’10”)
  • Between 25 and 30 years old
  • Slim with an athletic build
  • Brown hair
  • Goatee
  • Wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans
