An 18-year-old man from Drumheller has been arrest in connection with the RCMP investigation into a recent attack in an apartment building.

According to RCMP, on the evening of January 10, a Drumheller man opened the door of his apartment to someone asking to use the phone. The suspect forced his way inside the apartment and sexually assaulted the homeowner. The victim suffered minor injuries in the incident.

RCMP believe the suspect had knocked on several apartment doors in the area prior to the assault.

On Wednesday, Luke Entz was arrested in connection with the incident.

Entz faces charges of:

  • Sexual assault
  • Sexual assault with a weapon
  • Forcible confinement
  • Uttering a threat to cause death
  • Break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence

Entz remains in police custody and is scheduled to appear in Drumheller Provincial Court on Friday morning.
