Calgary fire crews are on scene of a major fire in the Foothills Industrial Park in the city's southeast.

At approximately 3:40 a.m., fire crews responded to a building fire in the 5900 block of 94 Ave. S.E. in the midst of the Foothills Industrial Park.

When they arrived, they found a building completely engulfed in flame and called a second alarm.

Officials say they called the second alarm because of the frigid weather and so they could have access to more support.

The fire is considered under control for now, but crews remain on scene to control any flare ups that might occur.

Investigators are working on a cause of the fire.

No damage estimate has been released.
