A two-vehicle detached garage suffered extensive damage in an early morning two alarm fire in the city’s southeast.
Fire crews responded to the blaze in the 60 block of Mount Apex Green S.E. at approximately 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
The efforts of the CFD contained the blaze from spreading to neighbouring homes and garages. One vehicle was badly damaged in the fire.
The residents of two nearby houses were evacuated from their homes as a precautionary measure but no injuries were reported.
Three adjacent garages and one house received minor heat damage.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
