Calgary police responded to Prince's Island Park, near the River Cafe, after a body was found on the banks of the lagoon Wednesday morning.

Officers received the call shortly before 7:30 a.m. after someone walking in the area spotted the naked body lying in the water.

Police have not revealed the identity or gender of the deceased.

The Medical Examiner has conducted an investigation and have determined the death was not the result of homicide.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
