Police are investigating after human remains were found in a field east of Balzac.
RCMP was called to an area near Range Road 284 and Township Road 264 at about 4:00 p.m. Monday after a work crew came across the remains in a remote location.
There is no word on the age, gender, or identity of the remains or how long they may have been there.
The body is being sent to the Calgary Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy.
RCMP Major Crimes is investigating with assistance from Calgary police.
