University of Calgary students are hoping for a bigger and better “MacHall”.

The Students’ Union surveyed over 6,300 students to find out what they would like when the beloved MacEwan Student Centre is renovated.

The popular meeting spot was built in 1967.

Students are hoping for more study and social areas, but they also want to keep the food and student services operating during the overhaul.

Over 80 per cent of the students visit MacHall at least once a week.

The centre is slated for a $155-million renovation to start within the next five years.
