Calgary police have charged a man in connection with the murders of two children who were found in a home in Panorama Hills in the city's northwest.

Police were called to a residence on Panorama Hills Place N.W. at about 9:00 p.m. Friday night after they received a 911 call from a woman at the home.

When the officers entered the house they immediately discovered the body of a 13-year-old boy and proceeded to check the home.

"The officers continued searching and came upon a man and woman in the upstairs portion of the home," said Calgary Police Chief, Rick Hanson, "both were involved in a physical struggle and officers immediately intervened."

Chief Hanson says the officers may have interrupted a potential homicide.

Police continued to search the home and found the body of a 9-year-old girl upstairs.

The man was taken into custody and the woman was taken to hospital.

On Sunday, police charged 43-year-old, James Bing Jun Louie with two counts of second degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

Police are not saying how the children died and are still investigating the scene.

Louie will appear in court on Monday morning.
