The Calgary Police Arson unit has charged a man in connection with an August 8, 2011 house fire.
Mark Jeremy Abbott, 21, faces one count of arson.
Abbott lived in the attic of the home which suffered $20,000 in damage.
Investigators believe a propane tank was deliberately set in the attic to accelerate the fire.
