The Canada Border Services Agency has announced that a 54-year-old man has been given a three year sentence for trying to smuggle guns across the border in Alaska.
George Foster was caught trying to cross into Alaska at the port of Coutts with a huge cache of firearms and ammunition in February 2012.
Foster pled guilty to four Criminal Code charges and two Customs Act offences in a Lethbridge court on July 24.
