A 31-year-old Calgary man who was charged in connection with an August bank robbery now faces an additional seven charges as police allege he's responsible for a sting of summer bank robberies.

On August 11, James Andrew Boisse was arrested and charged after the ATB Financial branch in the 900 block of 85 Street Southwest was robbed. Police apprehended the suspect during an attempted getaway that ended with a two vehicle crash along 17 Street S.W.

Police have determined Boisse is responsible for several Calgary bank robberies that occurred between July 24 and August 11, 2015 including robberies of:

  • CIBC – 4600 block of Bow Trail S.W.
  • First Calgary Financial – 6500 block of Falconridge Blvd. N.E.
  • Scotiabank – 2200 block of 68 St. N.E.
  • Scotiabank – 800 block of 85 St. S.W. (two separate robberies)
  • Scotiabank – 5000 block of Falconridge Blvd. N.E.
  • Scotiabank – 300 block of Aspen Glen Landing S.W.

In each robbery, the suspect presented the teller with a note demanding money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Boisse was scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
