Police are appealing to the public for help to track down a man wanted in connection to the sexual assault of two women on the West Kirby LRT platform last month.

A woman was waiting for a train at the station at about 12:30 p.m. on November 1 when she was approached by a man who inquired about the CTrain schedule.

The woman answered his question and then noticed he was following her as she moved away.

The man allegedly kissed the woman on the cheek and neck a number of times before she pushed him away. She says he continued to touch her and that she pushed past him and then boarded the train.

As the train pulled away, the woman says she saw the man approach another woman on the platform.

Police say they have not been able to identify the second woman but they have obtained CCTV footage and say the man approached at least two women.

The man is described as:

  • In his late 40s to 50s
  • About 170cm or 5’7” tall
  • Heavy build
  • White beard
  • Wearing a grey hat, black jacket, blue shirt, white trousers and brown shoes
  • Spoke broken English with an accent

Police are asking anyone who knows the identity of the man or the second woman that was approached, to contact them at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers through the following methods:
