Growing up watching Barb Higgins and Darrel Janz on CFCN, Jaclyn is thrilled to work for the station that inspired her to pursue a career in broadcasting. As a born and raised Calgarian, she is passionate about telling stories that connect and inspire the community.
Jaclyn joined CTV News Calgary in 2016 as an intern after graduating from Conestoga College and Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario. After an exciting summer of chasing leads and writing scripts, her journalism dreams came true when she was hired as a reporter and producer.
While in school, Jaclyn was a familiar face on Rogers community television in Kitchener as a volunteer reporter and segment host for a variety of shows. In the final year of her degree she earned a spot on the dean’s list, as well as awards for Best Short Documentary and Story of the Year.
As an alumnus of The Young Canadians School of performing arts, Jaclyn is a passionate vocalist and musician with a soft spot for the Calgary Stampede. Outside work, she’s an avid runner completing four half marathons and one full marathon in the past five years. She’s also a fabulous baker.
