Police are warning the public about a former inmate currently living in Calgary.
Alan Paul Norton just finished serving his sentence for possession of child pornography.
The 66-year-old has a criminal history of sexual assault and sexual interference against female teenagers and children.
Police say he befriends the victims and their families.
Once confidence is gained, he has a history of coercing his victims into providing sexual favours.
In March 2009, Norton was declared a long-term offender, a status he will have for eight years. During that period he will be monitored by Corrections Canada.
Norton is about 170 cm (5'7") and 68 kg (150 lbs).
