Brrrrr....

Cold weather from an upper level trough will dominate the weather for the next week or two.   A weak surface low will develop in the foohtills northwest of Calgary on Tuesday, shifting our wind to the west, allowing for some slight warming.   That low, though, will disappear fast, and we'll be plunged right back into the arctic air again Wednesday, with little sign of relief for about a week.  A series of disturbances about 18,000 feet off the ground will provide periods of snow for most of the next five days.   Expect 7-11 cm of snow for Calgary by the end of the day Saturday.  It will be stretched out over a period of four days (Wednesday to Saturday).

Monday night: Partly cloudy, light snow, low -5
Tuesday: Mainly sunny, high 2
Wednesday: Cloudy, light snow, high -5
Thursday: Cloudy, chance of flurries, high -8
Friday: Snow, high -9
Saturday: Mostly cloudy, light snow, high -9
