More charges could be laid against the Calgary man charged in a horrific case of alleged torture.

Dustin Paxton, 30, has been found fit to stand trial after more than 60 days of psychiatric evaluation.

In a Monday court appearance, he elected to be tried by judge and jury.

His next court appearance is set for November 4, when his lawyer, Jim Lutz says a third set of charges involving a third victim is expected to be laid.

Paxton is accused of assault and forcible confinement.

An alleged victim was dropped off at the Regina General Hospital in April, emaciated, mutilated and burned.

Paxton is also facing similar charges against a young girl from Calgary.
