Camilla Di Giuseppe joined CTV Calgary in December 2006. Her career in broadcasting spans nearly two decades.

Born and raised in Toronto, that’s where she started her career at the Weather Network as a presenter fresh out of graduating from the Seneca @ York journalism program. A few years later she made the move to CTV and joined the team at CTV Winnipeg as their 6pm & late weekend anchor and reporter. Next stop: Calgary.

Camilla’s career highlights range from covering the massive blackout that gripped the eastern seaboard to the southern Alberta flood; one of the costliest natural disasters in Canadian history. Then there’s Camilla’s adventurous side: from rappelling off of a 33 floor skyscraper in Calgary to flying in formation with the iconic Snowbirds with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Suffice to say “work” has been exhilarating at times.

Perhaps where Calgary-based Camilla feels most connected is in the way of human-interest stories. She has met and interviewed fascinating people often in the public eye, but has always felt ‘everyone’ has a story to tell. In 2019 she received both the RTDNA regional and national sports feature awards for "Tyson Defies the Odds",  a story about a teenaged boy who despite his challenges became an honourary member of his high school basketball team and made "the shot."

In her current role as senior anchor and producer Camilla has watched the industry change and so has she. From adapting in the ever-evolving newsroom to using new platforms to gather and scrutinize information and content.  She is very proficient in the area of social media to engage viewers and create greater connections within the community.

It’s one thing to speak into the lens of a camera on live television but addressing a live audience in a room – well that’s a whole different story. Camilla combined her desire to become a better public speaker with her passion for service to community and has added event emcee to her resume.  Over the years she has emceed dozens of fundraising events and galas including motionball, One - A Dance Spectacle, The Hope Gala, Calgary Italian Sports Women’s Dinner and Naked Espy.

Camilla has also co-organized fundraising events including YYC4Haiti, YYC4SlaveLake and the annual Santa Hat Party raising hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Camilla is proudly born to Ecuadorian and Italian parents who immigrated to Canada in search of a better future for their families.  Camilla is fluent in English and speaks conversational Spanish.
