Career Highlights: The biggest highlights in any broadcaster's career involves feedback from the audience, and it has been my great honour to have won the Calgary Herald Reader's Choice award for several years in a row.   More recently, I've been similarly honoured by the Best of Calgary awards as Calgary's favourite television personality.   In 2017, my peers honoured me with the RTDNA Lifetime Achievement Award.   Grateful as I am, I am even more honoured by the trust viewers place in me to deliver accurate weather forecasts every weekday.

Volunteer Connections in Calgary: I'm very enthusiastic and involved in our own Weather in the Classroom program, which enables me to visit dozens of schools and talk to thousands of school children every year. Since my cancer diagnosis in 2012, I've also been involved with several cancer-oriented charities,  most notably as a member of the Gala Committee for Prostaid Calgary.

Education: Meteorology program, Mississippi State University

Favourite Place in Calgary: Bragg Creek (not really IN Calgary, but close)

Interests/Activities: Take me outside! I love the outdoors in the summer and spend most weekends at the many terrific campgrounds in southern Alberta

Favourite Movies: Honestly, I haven't seen a movie in a theatre since Up!, which, by the way, was very good.

Favourite Music: 80s Hair bands. Remember Poison? How about Cinderella? Appetite for Destruction by Guns 'n Roses has to be one of the best albums in the history of recorded music. Stop laughing.

Why I am a broadcaster: It gives a terrific opportunity to help an enormous number of people with daily decisions in their daily lives.

About Me: I have an amazing family. My wife Susan and I have been married for almost 19 years and we have three terrific children, Curtis, Emily and Gregory, all of whom are now adults. We all share a love of the outdoors, camping, and travel. We spend most of our holiday time in Phoenix or on Vancouver Island.
