Kathy Le
ContactKathy Le is a video journalist and weekend anchor with CTV News Calgary and joined the team in 2012.
Calgary-based Le received the Spirit of NAIT alumni award for achieving excellence in her industry and has been nominated for five Radio Television Digital News Association awards for her work, including a documentary that takes an in-depth look into how the opioid crisis impacted Calgary.
Some of Le's other notable pieces of work include an investigative documentary where she uncovered exclusive records unveiling the shocking state of private and licensed child care in Alberta. Le also spent months digging into one of Canada’s largest private addictions rehab centre where she brought to light unqualified health care professionals being hired, staff not getting paid and lack of care to patients.
When she isn't covering hard news, Le has had the privilege of interviewing some of Hollywood's top celebrities. She's reported on the red carpet for CTV at the JUNOs in 2016 and has also worked for the network's entertainment show, Etalk, as a reporter and field producer for numerous projects.
Kathy graduated with a double major degree in chemistry and biology from the University of Alberta. She also has a broadcasting diploma from NAIT's Radio and Television Arts Program
Outside of work, Le can be found emceeing various events and fundraisers. She is also a proud Rotarian and volunteers for local and international projects with the Calgary Heritage Park Rotary chapter.
