A 59-year-old woman was airlifted to the Foothills Medical Centre following a late morning crash on Highway 22.

Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Highway 22 and 274 Avenue West shortly after noon following a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV.

According to EMS Public Education Officer Adam Loria, the motorcycle rider suffered multiple serious musculoskeletal injuries. The female patient was airlifted by STARS Air Ambulance to the Foothills Medical Centre in stable, non-life threatening condition.

No other injuries have been reported. RCMP are investigating the collision.
