Olympic-sized party takes over downtown Calgary

Olympians and Paralympians are gathered at Olympic Plaza in downtown Calgary on Friday, celebrating their achievements at Canada's successful games in Sochi.

More than 200 athletes and coaches will be participating in the event which begins at 11:30 a.m. with a parade from 8 Avenue at 10 Street S.W. to the plaza.

Once at the plaza, participants will be treated to a special performance by Cavalia, Canadian pop superstar Alyssa Reid, Roch Voisine, and Brett Kissel.

There will also be a gala fundraiser at the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame which includes an induction ceremony.

The money from the fundraiser will go towards the Canadian Olympic Foundation.
