It didn't take long for Calgarians to come up with some nicknames for the new pedestrian bridge across the Bow River.
The bridge is officially named Peace Bridge but many people plan on calling it something a little cheekier.
Some of the suggestions offered by Calgarians include:
- Wondertube
- French Bread
- Rocket Tunnel
- Cigarette
- Chinese Finger Trap
- Drinking Straw
Construction on the bridge will begin this fall and it is expected to be complete in 2010.
