The incident occurred at around 9:00 a.m. Friday morning.  According to police, a man in a van followed the girl in the 800 block of Riverdale Ave. in the community of Britannia.

The girl, who was waiting on some friends, biked away from the suspect’s vehicle.  The man parked his van and followed her on foot, calling out to her and asking to speak with her.

The man drove away from the scene when he was noticed by a pair of women walking dogs nearby.

The suspect is described as:

  • Approximately 182 – 188 cm tall (6’ - 6'2")
  • Having a heavy build
  • A mole on his face
  • Blond, shoulder-length, straight hair
  • Wearing a black thigh length jacket, jeans and black gloves.

The suspect vehicle is a black, older-model van, possibly a Ford Aerostar, with tinted windows, rust over the wheel wells and scratches on the side.
