Calgary City Police are investigating a couple of violent incidents that happened Sunday.

In the northeast, around 10:15 a.m. Sunday morning, a man was going out to his car when he was confronting by another man wearing a balaclava. 

The man in the balaclava stabbed the victim and then took off in a vehicle.

Police are looking for the suspet.

And earlier Sunday, just after midnight, police arrested a man following a home invasion and then a machete attack in northeast Calgary.

The man was picked up in the 24-hundred block of Edmonton Trail.

There are reports that one man was slashed with a machete, but his injuries aren’t life-threatening.  

During the arrest, police found stolen property from an earlier home invasion.
