Police are talking to residents of a northeast community after they received reports about a shooting, home invasion and a body in a car.

Neighbours in the 200 block of 28 Ave. N.E. called police around 9:00 p.m. Sunday night after hearing what sounded like gunshots.

"They rang my doorbell and there was a guy and a girl and a young fellow there and he was covered in blood and they come running in," says Dave Chapman, who lives near the home. "I let em in, helped them out and he said someone broke into his house and was trying to shoot him. I brought him in and gave him a towel cause he was bleeding and everything like that. And he was watching out the window and all of a sudden he saw a little blue Volkswagen car drive away and all of a sudden they opened up the door and they both took off and that’s the last I’ve seen of them."

The CPS TAC unit immediately surrounded the home and found a gun on the front lawn.  Officers entered the home and discovered blood on the walls but  there was no sign of the complainants.

The area was cordoned off for several hours as police investigated.

Then on Monday at about 9:40 a.m., police were called to reports of a body in a vehicle in the 100 block of 28 Ave N.E.

Police say the death appears to be suspicious in nature but they have not confirmed whether there is a connection to the other incident a few blocks away.

Anyone with information on the events surrounding the discharge of a firearm in Tuxedo Park is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
