Calgary police are investigating after a bullet was found in the exterior wall of a home in the city's southwest.

Police were called out to a residence in the 4300 block of Elbow Drive S.W. at noon on Sunday, Feb 24, 2013.

An officer located one bullet in an exterior wall of the kitchen area.

The bullet was removed and is being examined by the CPS Forensic Crime Scenes Unit.

No other bullets were found.

Someone in the home said they heard two loud noises around 1:30 a.m. that morning.

Officers talked to neighbourhood residents and found at least two other people who heard loud bangs at approximately the same time.

No suspicious people or vehicles were reported.

Investigators are looking into the incident and say there is no reason to believe the home was targeted.
