RCMP are investigating the scene after a man was stabbed to death on May 18 in Rocky Mountain House.
At approximately 3 a.m., Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to a complaint at a house on Highway 752, west of the community.
Upon arrival at the residence, police found a dead male.
An autopsy conducted the next day concluded that he had been stabbed.
Michael Thivierge, age 54, of Rocky Mountain House has been charged with manslaughter in the death of Chester Shearer, also of Rocky Mountain House, age 64.
Mr. Thivierge attended his first court appearance on May 20.
It is believed that alcohol was a factor.
